Kent Lube: You Don’t Have to Wait in Your Car
A comedy campaign for Kent Lube's Midland, Odessa, San Angelo & Andrews locations Visit Kent LubeThe Waiting Room Nobody Wants
When a Midland driver pulls into Kent Lube for a quick oil change, the last thing she wants is to sit in a hot car listening to Jordan describe his weekend in exhaustive detail. That’s exactly why Kent Lube built an air-conditioned lobby — so customers never have to wait in their car, or in Jordan’s shadow, again.
Round Two: Still Too Hot to Wait Outside
In this second cut of the campaign, an Odessa customer learns the hard way that Levi’s idea of small talk is a long, silent stare. Inside Kent Lube’s lobby, she’d have a cold drink and Wi-Fi instead — proof that the fastest fix for Texas heat isn’t a faster oil change, it’s a better place to sit.
On Mute, Not Really
A San Angelo remote worker tries to join a client call from the parking lot, only for Jordan to lean into frame asking if he can “say hey” to everybody on the call. Kent Lube’s lobby has Wi-Fi and a door that actually closes, so the next call could happen in peace instead of in the front seat.
Two Bars and a Bad Connection
Back for round two in Andrews, the same remote worker discovers Levi has strong opinions about speakerphone etiquette and no filter for sharing them mid-call. He’d have found a quiet corner and full Wi-Fi bars in Kent Lube’s lobby, instead of hoping his signal — and his patience — held out.
Snacks, Screens, and Zero Peace
A Midland mom juggling two kids and a car full of noise just wants ten quiet minutes, but Jordan’s running commentary on her minivan’s check-engine light isn’t helping. Kent Lube’s lobby has room to breathe — and a door between her and Jordan’s opinions — while the service gets done.
Round Two, Same Chaos
Back in Odessa, the same mom learns that Levi’s version of helping is standing a little too close and saying a little too little. Inside Kent Lube’s lobby, she could’ve had a seat, a cold drink, and actual distance — proof that a better wait beats a faster fix every time.
Not Interested, Still Cornered
A San Angelo customer can’t shake Jordan’s idea of a compliment, which somehow turns every oil change into a monologue about his gym routine. Kent Lube’s lobby gives her somewhere else to sit entirely, no awkward small talk required.
He’s Still Talking
In Andrews, Levi’s attempt at charm lands about as well as his last one did, cornering the same customer by the vending machine. She’d have skipped the whole exchange by waiting in Kent Lube’s lobby instead, where the only thing she has to make conversation with is a magazine.
The Upsell Before the Upsell
A young Midland customer just wants her oil changed, but Jordan’s already three add-ons deep before she’s out of the driver’s seat. Kent Lube’s lobby means she can wait out the actual service without standing there fielding a pitch she never asked for.
Round Two of the Pitch
Back in Odessa, Levi picks up right where Jordan left off, convinced she needs one more thing she didn’t come in for. She’d rather be sitting in Kent Lube’s lobby — comfortable, unbothered, and still getting exactly the service she asked for.
Third Time’s the Upsell
By the third bit, the same customer has heard every pitch Jordan and Levi have between them, and she’s still not buying it. Kent Lube’s lobby was there the whole time — proof that a comfortable place to wait says more than any upsell could.
